Week of November 27-December 1, 2017
Hello Cranston Families,
Here is the outline of the week ahead:
1. Book Exchange - Wednesday Nov. 29. Students are doing well with returning their books each and every week. Thank you. Please help them put their books in their backpacks on Tuesday Evening.
2. Fun Lunch - Wednesday Nov. 29 - Little Caesars' Pizza and Edible Arrangements.
3. PJ, Book and Stuffy Day - Thursday November 30 - Students are invited to wear their pj's to school and bring a stuffed toy with them. Students can also bring their favourite book to school. Please remember that they will continue to be involved in the day to day learning activities at school, including physical education.
4. Christmas Concerts - Students are beginning to practice the play written by several of our staff members. Several students will participate in these practices at lunch times. FYI - Team 75 students will be performing on December 13th.
5. Artist of the Week (Ms. Thomas) - Miles Davis:
For our first jazz artist of the year, we will be looking at trumpeter/composer, Miles Davis. We will be talking about his influence while we explore the overall genre, tying in other greats such as John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, and many more.
