Remembering...
Good morning, families,
Yesterday we celebrated Remembrance Day as class co-hosts for our school wide assembly. It was a solemn and moving occasion, with many parents and members of our community in attendance. The students did a beautiful job, both performing and leading by their example for behaviour.
If you have a chance this weekend to talk about it, please encourage your child to share their thoughts on why we remember on November 11. Much of our writing this week has centred on this topic.
We are also continuing our mapping work - moving into the study of landforms. We have a little song about the continents that we love to sing in class and you can watch it at home, too. Warning - it might get stuck in your head!
In Math, we are moving into multiple digit addition and subtraction and in Science we are continuing our study of the properties of rocks.
Despite the colder weather and snow, we are continuing to go outside for Recess and body breaks. Please make sure your child has snow pants, boots, gloves, a hat, and a warm jacket that they can zip up!
Mrs. V and Ms. P
