We had an eventful day in room 75 making topographical maps out of salt dough. In small groups we mapped each of the countries that we will be studying in our social studies curriculum (Tunisia, India, Peru, Ukraine, China, and Canada). The students mixed salt dough - by popular request, the recipe is below - and then built their maps. A special thank you to our parent volunteer as the extra set of hands was a huge help!
We will be painting the maps next week and using them in class as we continue our geographic learning!
